“The body is the measure of the world.
Science is based on measuring.
The first element of dancing is relation to gravity.
All technology stems from the use of ‘simple machines’ as meta instruments - tools to build other tools, like a lever, axis of a wheel, pulley...
In this action I build a ‘simple machine’ that allows me to defy gravity by precisely measuring the weight of each of my limbs and connecting it to a bag of sand via a system of pulleys.
On a metaphoric level, by externalizing my weight, my body becomes free from subjection to gravity, my body becomes free from the body - my body becomes a soul.”
